Independence Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the IOS
New Delhi, Aug. 14, 2026: A dignified ceremony was organized at the Institute of Objective Studies (IOS), New Delhi, to mark Independence Day.
A large number of the Institute’s office-bearers and staff members, individuals associated with the All India Milli Council, and prominent personalities from the locality and other parts of Delhi participated in the event. The national flag was hoisted during the ceremony, reflecting the spirit of the country’s independence and national unity.
The event was attended as chief guests by ACP Shri Ravi Shankar of New Friends Colony Police Station and SHO Shri O. P. Thakur of Jamia Nagar Police Station. Their presence added significance to the occasion. The participants saluted the national flag and expressed their best wishes for the country’s progress, peace, unity, and prosperity.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mohamad Alam, Secretary-General of the Institute of Objective Studies, congratulated all the participants on Independence Day. He thanked the distinguished guests, the office-bearers and staff members of the Institute and the All India Milli Council, as well as prominent members of the local community, for attending the ceremony.
He said that Independence Day provides an opportunity to remember the sacrifices made for the country’s freedom, strengthen national unity, and renew our commitment to building a peaceful, developed, and just India.
Prof. M. Afzal Wani, Chairman of the Institute of Objective Studies, and Prof. Ms. Haseena Hashia, Vice-Chairperson of the Institute of Objective Studies, were also present on the occasion.
The ceremony concluded in a pleasant atmosphere filled with patriotic spirit.
