Prof. (Dr.) Mohd. Ishtiyaque, Finance Secretary of the Institute of Objective Studies, is a distinguished academician and administrator with a career spanning over 36 years, notably serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Magadh University, Bodhgaya, Bihar, and Acting Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. With an academic foundation in Geography, he holds M.A., M.Phil, and Ph.D. degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, along with an advanced diploma in Cartography. His teaching journey began in 1984 and culminated in a professorship by 1998. Over the years, he has supervised 18 doctoral theses and numerous postgraduate projects. A prolific scholar, Dr. Ishtiyaque has authored 10 books, contributed over 60 research articles, and completed various UGC and ICSSR-funded research projects focusing on linguistic geography, urban development, tribal studies, and sustainable planning.
