Dr. Mohammad Manzoor Alam
 
Dr. Mohammad Manzoor Alam, (b. Oct. 9, 1945- d. Jan. 13, 2026), did his Ph.D. in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He served as Associate Professor Deptt. of Islamic Economics, University of Imam Mohammad-bin-Saud, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Economic Advisor in the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Chief Coordinator for the Translation of Meaning of the Holy Quran in different languages of the world at King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex, Madinah Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia.
 
He was the Board Member of the International Institute of Islamic Thought, USA; Founder Member of International Islamic Charitable Organisation, Kuwait; and Member, Steering Committee, Istanbul Talks, Civil Solidarity Platform, Istanbul, Turkey.
 
He founded the Institute of Objective Studies, a renowned think-tank in the year 1986 and served as its chairman and chief patron. As the founder and guiding force of the Institute, he elevated it to remarkable heights, garnering international recognition for its research and academic excellence. Today, the Institute stands as a dynamic think tank dedicated to nation-building, upholding constitutional values, and advancing the interests of disadvantaged and marginalized communities. His life exemplified wisdom, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to societal advancement. He headed more than a dozen organisations in India working for the upliftment of marginalised communities particularly Muslims.
 
He was a Member of the Committee constituted by the Government of India to evaluate the process of implementation of the Report of Sachar Committee set up by the Prime Minister’s Office on socio-economic and educational status of the Muslim community in India and Prime Minister’s New 15 Point programme in August 2013.
 
He was Member of the International Advisory Board of American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences, published from the USA, and Member of International Advisory Board of the Journal, Al-Manhaj: A Journal of Multidisciplinary Research of the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM), Maldives. He had been Member of the Advisory Board of MEDAD, published from the KSA, and Awqaf, published from Kuwait.
 
His area of specialization was Futuristic Studies, Strategic Planning, Islamic Banking and Economics.
