ABOUT RELIGION AND LAW REVIEW
 
The Religion and Law Review (RLR) is a peer reviewed legal periodical published by the Institute of Objective Studies, New Delhi. It covers scholarly discussions on various aspects of religion, law and other socio-legal issues. The periodical accords particular importance to the study of issues and events which are of contemporary concern, having a direct or indirect bearing on situations of minor or major religious groups and other underprivileged sections of the society. 
 
The RLR entertains all significant contributions from scholars of law and allied disciplines on relevant themes. It encourages diverse opinions on different issues to make possible objective analysis of the problems and possible solutions. Contributions on important aspects of law, like environment, human rights and administration of justice are entertained in addition to religion oriented articles and comments. 
 
Objectives of the Journal 
 
The objectives of the RLR are: 
 
1. To promote research on basic legal and social issues; 
2. To provide a forum for discussion on various aspects of law and religion; 
3. To highlight the issues relating to freedom of religion in different legal systems; 
4. To study the contribution of religion to law; 
5. To examine the nature and extent of regulation of religious activities and religious institution By law;
6. To analyze state action vis a vis religious groups; and 
7. To discuss issues regarding religion and human rights.
 
Guidelines for Contributors 
 
The RLR welcomes contributions from all interested students and scholars of law, religion and society in the form of articles, notes, 268 Religion and Law Review – Vol. XXVIII 2019 case comments and book reviews. The size of contributions should not exceed 35 typed pages of A-4 size or 10,000 words. Margins should be left at each side of the page. Typing of both text and footnotes should be double-spaced. References should be given in footnotes. The footnotes should be numbered consecutively throughout the paper. The References of books and articles should be in the following format: 
 
Name of the Author, “Name of the Book”, Page (s), (Year). Name of the Author, “Name of the Article,” Name of the Journal, Vol. (Year), Pages.
 
A hundred words abstract which summarizes the main ideas of the paper should be submitted by all contributors. 
 
The full name of the writer, his present affiliation and complete correspondence address should be included. 
 
All articles will be referred to experts in the relevant field. 
 
The Editor reserves the right to make editorial revisions wherever found necessary. 
 
All responsibilities for opinions expressed and accuracy of facts vest exclusively with the authors and not with the editor or editorial board. 
 
All correspondence should be addressed to the Editor.
