The Institute of Objective Studies in collaboration with the Indo-Arab Economic Cooperation Forum created a record sorts by launching the India Islamic Index on June 25 in New Delhi.

New Delhi, June 14: Interest free banking in India is a viable proposition as it would enable a sizeable section of Muslim society to interact with and benefit from the banking system in the county.

Mehta expressed the view at a one day seminar on "Emergence of Ethical Investment: Issues and Practices" at India Islamic Cultural Centre here today.
